Project Methodology

Each project implementation is unique to a client and their specific needs at that time.  However unique a project may be, it still requires a consistent and proven process that will bring about a timely and cost-effective delivery.  In situations where full project lifecycle expertise is required, Eprise Professional Services can deliver.

The Eprise Services Project Methodology, the foundation of our Client Project engagements, is the structured process which enables the project team to deliver a consistent and high quality deployment in a timely fashion.

The Eprise Services Project Methodology is based on a number of underlying principles:

Principles

Value Driven – Our initial Phase is structured to understand the relationships between market factors, business strategies, performance measures, workflows, and technology. The intent is not to implement a specific number of features/functions or to implement technology for technology’s sake.

Proactive risk management – Risk assessment and control practices are built right into the methodology from the planning stage through the execution and closeout of the development project.

Integration of Quality practices – Quality control and assurance practices are integrated throughout the Eprise Services Project Methodology. Examples of such practices include early agreement on Acceptance Criteria and development of Quality Assurance and Test Plans.

Iterative Development – In using an iterative process, multiple releases of the same application can be deployed in a quick and timely manner using consistent techniques and goals.  Eprise Services’ iterative approach speeds time to value for mission critical applications, and makes the methodology itself a strategic benefit for the client.

Line of readiness – In order to progress in the Eprise Services Project Methodology, each phase contains a number of critical requirements that need to be satisfied. These lines of readiness serve as a completeness and quality check on the methodology phases. In addition, these lines of readiness provide a consistent means for integrating pre-existing work in our Clients’ environments such as requirements documentation, technical designs, and interface specifications.

Structure

The Eprise Services Project Methodology is broken into four phases:

Define – Identify and prioritize functional requirements, set project scope and suggest candidate architecture.

Design – Solution requirements, Technical and Functional Specifications, application blueprints, and vertical slice.

Develop – Multiple iterations of analysis, design, development, and testing of application

Deploy – The refinement and deployment of production release application.  It can also begin the process of application measurement activation for data intelligence metrics and reports, customized user application training and documentation, maintenance, and repair.

Phases are marked by specific, concluding deliverables. Transitions from one phase to the next are often transparent to the client with work continuing through until the end of the Deploy.

The Eprise Services delivery process uses a proven methodology to increase reliability and quality, reduce cost, and keep project teams focused. Application development efforts are based on well-defined specifications, release schedules are aligned with an organizations goals and priorities, and the quality of the end product is viewed as the ultimate measure of Client satisfaction.
